DIY Kitchen Cabinet Install Is Not Hard If You Hang The First One Properly
If you are going to try and install your new kitchen cabinets on your home, you’ll need to have a clear understanding of how to do a proper job. DIY (Do It Yourself) kitchen cabinet install also requires for you to use the right tools for the job. Having the right tools will always make the job go a lot easier, and it will ensure that it is done correctly. Contrary to what most will tell you, you don’t always have to hire a professional cabinet installer to come over and do the job. You’ll want to start the DIY cabinet install in the nearest corner to the center of the wall mounted cabinets. Measure the height from the floor or counter top, to the top of where the cabinets will be mounted, so that you’ll install them at the right height. Then you need to make the wall where the top of the cabinets will go. Using your level, draw a level line starting in the corner and extending out on both walls. This will give you a guiding line to keep all the cabinets level and plumb.
DIY kitchen cabinet install need not be that difficult if you make sure that you are starting with perfectly level and plumb lines. If you fail to do this, you end up having problems in the future like the doors not aligning properly, and it can even affect the over stability of the entire set of cabinets. |
